DECIBASE is a specialised software solution for noise experts, engineering offices and institutions in the field of noise protection, environment and traffic. Target group and areas of application
DECIBASE is aimed at noise agencies, engineering offices, authorities and experts in the field of road and railway noise and environmental protection. Our solution supports engineers and environmental protection experts in efficiently recording, analysing and managing noise data.
The centralised management and flexible evaluation functions allow noise protection projects to be optimally supported from planning to implementation. This enables legal requirements to be met, noise remediation to be monitored and future-oriented measures to be developed.
Support and Service
We offer comprehensive technical support including a hotline and guarantee feedback in accordance with the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA). The platform is constantly being further developed to meet new requirements under noise protection legislation and in response to customer requests.
Technical details
DECIBASE runs on Windows servers and uses an SQL database. The platform is completely web-based, which requires no local installations and enables secure access from anywhere.
User authentication and administration
DECIBASE offers various authentication methods. This includes standard authentication (user and password) or, if required, other methods such as:
- 2-factor authentication (via SMS)
- SSO with Active Directory (AD)
The mechanism is set up and configured in consultation and coordination with the respective IT administration.
User and role management is used to control the rights for access to functionality and data.
The read and write authorisations can be flexibly configured for the entire platform as well as for each project.
User activities are also recorded for traceability purposes.
Customised extensions
DECIBASE offers a wide range of extensions for customer and sector-specific functionalities, forms and reports.
These include the following configurations and optional modules:
- Map visualisation of any WMS/WFS sources as configurable layers
- Emissions with automatic calculation in the road area (sonROAD18)
- CPX module for the evaluation and visualisation of pavement acoustics data with their development over time
- Recording and management of traffic surveys
- RAIL module for managing road sections and railway traffic volumes with automatic emissions calculation
- Various standard and customised reports (Excel, Word, PDF)
