On hot working days, employees could take one hour to cool off. Whether at the swimming pool, by the lake, in the river or somewhere else by the water: the main thing was to cool down.
A summer initiative with attitude
The Badi Challenge was deliberately uncomplicated: cool off, take a photo, record the time, done. The result was a collection of creative, funny and refreshing pictures from various teams and locations.
The initiative shows how we want to work at G+P: pragmatically, solution oriented and with trust in our employees. Especially in exceptional conditions, flexible responses are needed. Good work does not come from simply enduring difficult conditions, but from creating sensible working conditions.
Team spirit in and around the water
The idea quickly became a shared summer moment. Employees jumped into the water, met up as teams, looked for creative ways to cool down and shared their photos internally. This made visible what often happens in everyday working life between projects, meetings and specialist topics: solidarity, humour and the joy of being together.
After the Challenge ended, a shortlist was drawn up. All employees were then able to vote for their favourites.
Photos were awarded in four categories:
- The most creative Badi photo
- The best team selfie
- The most original cooling off moment
- The most colourful photo
In total, there were eight winners. The winners received a joint apéro and an original rubber duck as a souvenir.
Small idea, strong impact
The Badi Challenge was not a major campaign, but a suitable response to a particular situation. That is precisely where its strength lies. It showed that a flexible working culture can be very concrete: close to everyday working life, easy to implement and noticeable for employees.
For us, the Badi Challenge 2026 remains a refreshing summer moment. And perhaps also a good example of how work, responsibility and quality of life can go hand in hand.
