Consulting of a new building in Solothurn in terms of building physics and acoustics

A new two-story building for the Brühl kindergarten and day school is being constructed in Solothurn's Weststadt. G+P is supporting the new building in terms of building physics and acoustics and is responsible for the Minergie-P/ECO requirements. The planning team aims to use the new building as a pilot building to meet the SNBS sustainability criteria for the newly created SNBS building category "educational buildings".

The building impresses with its economical consumption of primary energy and high user comfort. The building concept, the load-bearing structure and the uniform façade modules reduce gray energy, allow a short construction process and embody exemplary system separation. The simple, thermal bridge-free insulation perimeter guarantees the best possible thermal building envelope. Wood district heating and photovoltaics ensure the environmentally friendly energy supply. The pergolas running around each floor, the thermally activated concrete components and the automatically controlled blinds allow a highly comfortable indoor climate in summer. Specially dimensioned ventilation sashes and transom windows are used for night cooling. Mechanical air renewal has been deliberately dispensed with. The massive arcades optimize the climate around the building envelope and protect the facade, windows and ventilation sashes from wind and weather.
